Shift your mindset

Yes, I am one of ‘those’ people who started a new gym membership at the beginning of the year – and no, it’s not my first one. But this time, it’s a holistic gym with nutrition coaching, a closely monitored program, and personal training. The charismatic owner and his amazing team are passionate about transforming, both body and mindset. My lovely fitness coaches, the trainer and the owner are spiritually focused, great motivators, and live aligned, helping others do the same. I’m impressed by this new generation of Cypriot men breaking free from the traditional, patriarchal norms on the island, showing a new way of living spiritually and openly. More and more people are embracing spiritual love and personal growth.
This morning, I had a deep conversation with my trainer that reinforced my belief in a key resilience skill. We talked about how hard it is to start working out again and shift your mindset. In the first week, you’re super motivated but sore. In the second week, your brain finds excuses. In the third week, energy returns and by the fourth week, you see results, feel hopeful, and think, “I can do this! I just have to keep going!” That’s exactly what NIKE’s famous slogan means: Don’t overthink, just do it!
The point is: consistency. Keep going, visualize your goal, and just do it! If you can apply this mindset to any area of life, you’ll rebuild your resilience, start seeing results, and gain self-esteem and energy, which will change both you and your situation. I’ll keep you updated on my fitness journey, and I hope you try this mindset with your own challenges.
