For generations, our Hungarian family has been pickling vegetables in the sun.

For generations, our Hungarian family has been pickling vegetables in the sun. It is a quiet and beautiful ritual that reminds me time and again how patience, the right environment and a proven process can bring about lasting change.
Something fascinating happens during the pickling process:
👉 Something is transformed by time, patience and the right procedure. It becomes preservable, healthy and more versatile, strengthening our physical resilience and, at the same time, our mental stability and mood.
But only if:
🔹 ... the environment is right (container, salt content, temperature)
🔹… you have patience, stick with it – and don't constantly lift the lid
🔹 … you trust the process and give it time, even if the result is not immediately visible
Whether it's a career change, emigration, a change of team or a new start in your personal life – real transformation requires:
✔️ a sustainable, stable yet flexible
environment and the right tools
✔️ patience to grow in emotional and mental
strength
✔️ time
✔️ trust in your own path and the desired development for the visualised goal
Traditions, rituals, and care also play a significant role in this process, as self-care, grounding, and habit formation are valuable foundations for practising resilience.
I use these values and ‘tools’ for my personal resilience and, of course, in my coaching. The best part is observing how the perceived transformation gradually takes shape.
👉 Which of your little rituals help you to remain resilient in challenging times, or what rituals do you regularly practise with patience for your transformation?
I look forward to hearing your thoughts.
