âĄïžÂ Why arriving in a new country is often much more difficult than leaving your own â and how resilience becomes your greatest ally.
Â
This photo was taken in Cyprus in the first few days after my seventh emigration â in February, by the sea.
Â
The feeling of finally having done it was UNDESCRIBABLE:
This is now my new home â where others go on holiday! đ©”
You have to INHALE this feeling DEEPLY!
Â
Because: Other times will come... Often after six months to a year.
Â
Then you suddenly find yourself in the middle of paperwork, every day is a challenge: Where is that? Where can I get that? Really, they don't have that here? How do I do that now? Or you ask yourself:
When will my family finally feel at home here?
Â
What is an adventure on holiday can suddenly become frustrating and demanding in everyday life.
Â
But it doesn't have to be â we are all different.
đĄÂ What many people only realize later:
Many things only become apparent with time.
Those who are in the midst of preparations and organizational chaos have completely different issues to deal with than those who are struggling with integration after a year.
Resilience doesn't just mean surviving crises â it also means dealing with future challenges more easily.
And yes, everyone (including me â despite many moves) has their own hurdles when relocating. This is not a weakness, but on the contrary, a sign of inner growth and truly a new life. đ±
Because those who face challenges change internally.
You not only change your location, but also your perspective.
Â
đ Support is not a sign of weakness
Having support to integrate the new in a sustainable way and truly arrive in your new life does not mean that you have âfailedâ at something.
Â
On the contrary: coaching or mentoring for expats is an investment in stability, self-confidence and future security â no matter what stage you are at.
